There are many superlatives to describe Siesta Key and non-more fitting than the claim of #1 beach in North America!  With its wide expanse of powder soft quartz sand stretching for over a mile, coupled with clear turquoise waters it really is a postcard-perfect setting. Siesta Key is known for its family-friendly environment and the gentle slope of the beach into the Gulf of Mexico, along with lifeguard stations, makes it a safe and welcoming destination for families with children.

Beyond the beach, Siesta Key offers a range of outdoor activities including kayaking, paddleboarding, and parasailing and nature enthusiasts can explore nearby parks and wildlife preserves, providing opportunities for birdwatching and hiking.

Siesta Key Village, located at the north end of the island exudes a casual and lively atmosphere and is filled with an eclectic mix of shops, boutiques, cafes, and bar/restaurants. Entertaining visitors is taken very seriously, and you will find live music most days of the year in a number of the island institutions such as Siesta Key Oyster Bar, known to the locals as SKOB,  the Beach Club or Captain Curt’s down on the south bridge.
